Welcome to the Office of the Public Sector Standards Commissioner.

OPSSC people

On 1 December 2010, the Public Sector Reform Act 2010 came into effect, amending the Public Sector Management Act 1994.

One of the major amendments is the establishment of the office of an independent Public Sector Commissioner, effectively amalgamating the role of the Minister with responsibility for public sector management with the role of the Commissioner for Public Sector Standards and abolishing the Office of the Public Sector Standards Commissioner.

Elements of the OPSSC website and a number of significant publications have been updated to reflect this change, but any new content will appear on the Public Sector Commission website until the two websites are merged.

More information about the reform can be found on the PSC website.

Contact phone numbers may no longer be current, however email addresses will still be active.

OPSSC includes the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) which has a role to assist public authorities to achieve equal employment opportunity.

More information on the Office of EEO is available on the OEEO website.
